Universe Creation Theories (3)

The Big Bang Theory  The Big Bang Theory is the most well known universe creation theory
Steady State Theory  An early theory where matter is being created continously.
Cyclic Theory  An extension of the big bang theory where the universe expands and contracts in cycles
Our universe was created approximately 13.8 billion years ago and is believed to have originated from a single minute point of super compressed energy & matter heated to unimaginable temperatures which exploded (see [The Big Bang Theory]) and spread space and matter outward from this point at speeds initially much faster than the speed of light. Super heated gases gradually cooled to form galaxies. Eventually after many billions of years the acceleration of the expansion slowed down and it appears that, although it has slowed down, the universe is still expanding at an accelerating rate. The universe contains hundreds of billions of galaxies (if not many more) with billions of stars and their associated solar systems within each galaxy. Our planet Earth is located in the Milky Way Galaxy.

Carina Nebula in the Milky Way Galaxy:

There are an estimated 100 - 400 billion stars in our own Milky Way galaxy alone, although this estimate could be much larger given the current methods for calculating this number. Given the sheer number of stars with their associated solar systems it is theoretically impossible that there is not other life in our universe beyond that found on earth. There could be more life out there than ever imaginable ... so close it could be within a neighboring solar system in our galaxy.

It will probably never be known whether the universe is infinite or not as, from our vantage point on earth, we can only see as far as the point where the Big Bang occurred. It is also very hard to fathom how the universe could be finite and what exists on the outside of a universal boundary other than "nothing". What is "nothing" is a question that can be pondered infinitely. If the Big Bang never happened and the universe was never created there would nothing. No space, no matter, no energy, no life, nobody to ever know otherwise.

Ring Nebula in the Milky Way Galaxy:

Many religions believe that God created the universe and many scientists agree that there must be a higher power involved with the creation and ongoing forces that shape space, matter, and time in our universe. The correlations between science and verses found in the bible regarding god's creation are undeniable.
