Carina Nebula in the Milky Way Galaxy:
There are an estimated 100 - 400 billion stars in our own Milky Way galaxy alone, although this estimate could be much larger given the current methods for calculating this number. Given the sheer number of stars with their associated solar systems it is theoretically impossible that there is not other life in our universe beyond that found on earth. There could be more life out there than ever imaginable ... so close it could be within a neighboring solar system in our galaxy.
It will probably never be known whether the universe is infinite or not as, from our vantage point on earth, we can only see as far as the point where the Big Bang occurred. It is also very hard to fathom how the universe could be finite and what exists on the outside of a universal boundary other than "nothing". What is "nothing" is a question that can be pondered infinitely. If the Big Bang never happened and the universe was never created there would nothing. No space, no matter, no energy, no life, nobody to ever know otherwise.
Ring Nebula in the Milky Way Galaxy:
Many religions believe that God created the universe and many scientists agree that there must be a higher power involved with the creation and ongoing forces that shape space, matter, and time in our universe. The correlations between science and verses found in the bible regarding god's creation are undeniable.
